Planning a wedding is no easy feat, especially if you’re in an international relationship like me. In fact, you may end up planning two weddings! While this may come as a shock to your bank account and your psychology for the next year, imagine the fun you will have planning two completely different dream weddings.

No matter how chaotic it is; wildflowers will still spring up in the middle of nowhere.

If you’re not looking for a wedding planner, and want to take the time to handle your weddings yourself, this is totally possible but you cannot do this alone!

I have always been a dreamer, but not always an executer. I think executing ideas is something one must continuously work on. This task of planning my own weddings is something I want to challenge myself on, especially since all my life people have told me I should get into the business.

Two Themes for Wedding Dreams

My two weddings fall in between winter in Sweden, and summer in America. While my American wedding will be rustic and very Pacific Northwest, I am brainstorming my Swedish wedding will take on a more vintage art deco design – hence wanting to use dried flowers and unusual shapes.

I am choosing towards using dried flowers because they give a different vibe to what we see in most weddings. Earthy undertones with pale greens, browns, golds and light pinks are what I picture as my type of ‘art deco’.
