Cheap Travel Destinations During Winter
Seeing images of hot spots gets me itching to hit the road. But those exciting travel destinations do exist when summer has disappeared. In fact, did you know it can be cheaper to travel during the winter months? Having lived in one of the most popular travel destinations for summer, I experienced first hand what happens to a summer hot spot when there is no sun; and it’s just as fun to explore.
I started using Kayak‘s iPhone app to set travel alerts for flights I am looking at for weekend gettaways. It’s really useful to get daily push notifications alerting you on prices (you can also set the max price you are willing to pay. I am also a fan of Momondo.

Travel during October-April for off season prices.
Brussels, Belgium
Travel during January-March for off season prices
Marrakesh, Morocco
Travel between February-April for off season and lower temperatures.
Nuremberg, Germany
Some might say this place is always off season, but I found it nice in February.
