~Saying Goodbye to the Sky~

1 min read

I was about to land in Seattle.
After 8 months of traveling and living around the world.
It was all dark and I was in this peaceful plane sitting by the window.

The sky was very black and all I could see out my window was the Orion constellation and a very big, bright moon shining over what seemed like a sea of clouds beneath me. All i could do was think about standing at a house In Mykonos, Greece staring at the same two things and how happy I was to be independent.

And then, very slowly, the plane started to sink beneath the sea of clouds, and the moon, and stars began to fade away.
Suddenly there were the bright lights of Seattle flooding my eyes like a million miles of fire, and I could see everything that I thought I knew, but discovered I don’t know it at all anymore.
