The Far North

1 min read

It is very cold in Stockholm, all the way until May. I often wonder to myself why the Vikings had to make a settlement this far North. Then I think, because all the good places were taken.

Stockholm is a gorgeous city that is cozy and nestled on many little islands connected by bridges. The architecture is something I had never seen before in The world, but it is very much Scandinavian design. Basically everything in apartments is Ikea. Which works for me because I like Ikea, despite their run-ins with horses and ponies.

As the summer comes closer, the light stays longer, sometimes having the sun ‘set’ at 11pm and rise again at 3am. In the summer you can never see the stars, which is a bummer.
